'Aaly Salul

Me: Where's your wife?
Him: She's taking a bath, would you like to scrub her back?
(The brother likes to talk in code, not subtle this one. Me, not biting.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
(a week later)
Him: Suluk, i.e. the spiritual path, is so that I can stretch my feet

out in front of my sister-in-law.
(More code, same idea as before. Me, still not biting.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
(a week later)
Him: Suluk is baloney.
(Now he's lost it. It was after this that he began to hound me

and mock the Path, both privately and publicly.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

We said to them, hold fast to dhikr Allah and learn of the knowledge we have given you. But they mocked our doctrine and idled their time away.

Then there came to them mawarad shaitaniyyah  and they began to preach the false doctrine of libertinism.  When their friend who they had taught their doctrine to apostatized, they ran for cover, cloaking themselves in the shari'a as they ran.

We are reformers they screamed. We have only come to purify others. They wrapped themselves in the shari'a and began to attack the tariqa, all the while continuing to preach their false doctrine. Inside the tariqa they preach corruption, while outside the tariqa they put on a false face of piety.

See how the apostate cleaves to them. They turn people into libertines, the apostate drives them further away from the faith. They are his useful idiots, with both being useful idiots in the eyes of Allah. They only misguide those whom Allah allows them to lead astray.

And we watch, as one by one, Allah brings them down by degrees.

mawarad shaitaniyyah - satanic inspirations

'aaly salul - i.e., the family of Salul - this is a reference to Abdallah bin Ubay bin Salul who was the chief of the hypocrites against our Prophet Muhammad. He was called bin Salul on account of his mother, whose name was Salul.

The problem with liars is not that no one believes them, but in that they don't believe anyone else.  —George Bernard Shaw
